General Manager (GM) – Operations

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic General Manager –Operations to lead the entire scope of our company’s manufacturing operations. Based in Hyderabad, the GM – Operations will oversee and coordinate all functions from engineering design, fabrication, machining, manufacturing, and assembly, ensuring world-class standards of quality, efficiency, and delivery. This role demands a hands-on leader capable of driving operational excellence, leading large cross-functional teams, and aligning operations with the company’s growth objectives.

• Lead and manage the complete manufacturing operation, including design engineering, fabrication, machining, assembly, quality assurance, and supply chain coordination.

• Oversee production planning, resource management, and workflow optimization to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of projects.

• Drive operational efficiency by implementing lean manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with engineering, project management, procurement, and quality teams to deliver complex, custom-built equipment to client specifications.

• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and internal policies across all plant operations.

• Monitor production KPIs and performance metrics; identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.

• Evaluate and implement technologies and automation to enhance production capabilities and competitiveness.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to departmental managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance.

• Work closely with senior leadership on strategic planning, capital investments, and operational scaling.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).

• 15–20 years of extensive experience in manufacturing operations, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.

• Strong background in capital equipment, custom fabrication, or engineered-to-order systems.

• Proven ability to manage large-scale production facilities and multidisciplinary teams.

• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing, ERP systems, supply chain coordination, and quality management.

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with a strategic mindset.

• Prior experience in industries such as pharmaceutical equipment, chemical processing machinery, cleanroom systems, or industrial fabrication.

• Familiarity with compliance standards such as GMP, ASME, ISO, and other relevant manufacturing and quality regulations.

• Hands-on exposure to advanced manufacturing techniques, CNC machining, and pressure vessel fabrication.
