Business Development Manager – Milling & Drying Division

Job Summary

We are seeking an ambitious and technically proficient Business Development Manager to lead the growth of sales for our Pharmaceutical Milling and Drying equipment product lines across India. Based in India with HQ in Hyderabad, this role will involve working closely with our regional sales teams, calling directly on pharmaceutical and chemical industry clients, and identifying new business opportunities to expand our domestic market share.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales of innovative Milling and Drying equipment within the pharmaceutical, chemical, and allied industries across India.

• Identify, engage, and develop relationships with key decision-makers in target companies and convert prospects into customers.

• Collaborate with regional sales teams to generate qualified leads, conduct product demonstrations, and close deals.

• Understand client requirements, propose customized equipment solutions, and ensure technical and commercial alignment.

• Work with internal teams including engineering, applications, and after-sales service to ensure seamless project execution.

• Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the domestic market.

• Represent the company at industry trade shows, seminars, and technical conferences to enhance product visibility.

• Prepare and deliver detailed sales reports, forecasts, and territory plans to management on a regular basis.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or related field (MBA is an added advantage).

• 5–8 years of experience in capital equipment sales, preferably within pharmaceutical processing, chemical, or related sectors.

• Strong knowledge of milling, granulation, fluid bed drying, or related pharmaceutical process technologies is essential.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing long-term customer relationships.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Ability to travel extensively within India.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with pharmaceutical manufacturers, CDMOs, or chemical process companies.

• Familiarity with GMP, validation protocols, and regulatory considerations in pharmaceutical equipment sales.

• Hands-on experience in technical sales and solution-oriented selling of capital equipment.
